Stone Junction shortlisted for Outstanding Small Consultancy in 2012 Midlands CIPR Pride Awards
Stafford based technical PR agency Stone Junction has been shortlisted for the Outstanding Small Consultancy in the 2012 Midlands CIPR PRide Awards. The company stood out as a result of its outstanding integration of social media and traditional PR tactics on behalf of a range of engineering and technical clients.
Stone Junction's category is set to be hotly contested, with four companies shortlisted. Over 1,000 entries were received from freelancers, consultancies and in-house teams across twelve UK regions and nations.
CIPR CEO, Jane Wilson MCIPR, commented, "The CIPR PRide Awards celebrate the best PR and communications campaigns and teams from the profession across the UK. To be shortlisted for a CIPR PRide Award demonstrates exemplary achievement, impact and value. The sheer number of high quality entries received this year, especially when things are still pretty tough out there economically, is testament to a thriving nationwide industry."
Richard Stone, managing director at Stone Junction, said, "We are over the moon to be shortlisted and even though we are facing tough economic times, I believe that our team's dedication and drive has made an impact on our clients' campaigns. It's a great feeling when your efforts are acknowledged, especially since this is our first time entering the CIPR Pride Awards."
The judging process for the PRide Awards is rigorous, with a national panel of industry experts assessing the shortlisted entries and choosing the winners. The 2012 chairs of judges, Gill Dandy FCIPR, senior consultant at The Centre for Strategy and Communication, and Chris Genasi FCIPR, senior consultant at APCO Worldwide, assisted in ensuring a fair and consistent judging process.
Gill Dandy, commented, "I would like to congratulate all of the individuals and teams that have been shortlisted across the twelve regions and nations in the UK. The standard of entries continues to improve year on year which demonstrates an increasingly vibrant public relations profession."
The winners of the 2012 Midlands CIPR PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie dinner on Friday, 2 November at Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
