Shortlist hat trick for Stafford PR agency

PR agency Stone Junction has been shortlisted in three
categories in this year’s CIPR PRide awards. The awarding body, the
Chartered institute of Public Relations, revealed each shortlist
through a series of 297 tweets, working its way from John o’Groats to
Lands End last Friday.
Having entered three categories and been shortlisted in all three, Stone Junction will compete against other Midlands agencies to win the titles Best STEM Campaign, Outstanding Small Public Relations Consultancy and Best Use of Digital.
The winners will be announced at the annual awards dinner, which will be held at the Birmingham Motorcycle Museum on 13 November.
Stone Junction’s use of content PR helped achieve its position in the shortlist for the Best Use of Digital award. This was a result of a campaign with longstanding client European Automation. The plan was to improve European Automation's online presence by integrating its fourteen international websites into one unified brand.
“Our new website is delivering brilliantly against its sales objectives,” explained Jonathan Wilkins, marketing manager at European Automation. “In addition to the new website, Stone Junction helped us launch a new content platform called Automated, an unbiased, informative magazine addressing trends in the automation industry.
“Thanks to Stone Junction, we have received international media coverage across seven different continents. This is in addition to coverage in The Sunday Times, The Times, The Guardian and over 100 clippings in trade and regional media over twelve months.”
Another of the shortlisted entries was for European Automation's Automation for the People campaign, which has been shortlisted for Best STEM campaign – a new award this year.
Although Stone Junction has been shortlisted for CIPR awards in previous years, this is the highest number of shortlisted entries the company has achieved in a single year.
“Over the past twelve months we have developed new company incentives, won new clients and now we plan to move to larger offices to accommodate our expanding team,” explained Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. “Being shortlisted for three award categories is another great achievement for us and the team look forward to hearing the results in November.”

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
