Lucky seven for technical PR consultancy
Stone Junction shortlisted for seven industry awards
PR consultancy, Stone Junction has been shortlisted for seven
Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) PRide awards, making it
the agency with the most shortlists in the West Midlands
region. The company received two shortlists in the Best
Science, Technology, Maths and Engineering (STEM) Campaign category for
its work with longstanding clients, EU Automation
and COPA-DATA UK.
Stone Junction has also been shortlisted in the Outstanding Small
Consultancy and Outstanding Consultancy categories.
On top of these successes, Stone Junction was shortlisted in the following categories; Corporate and Business Communications Campaign and Best Publication. Account manager Oana Charlie Stroe has also been shortlisted in the Outstanding Young Communicator category.
"Stone Junction's offices are like a home away from home for me," explained Kelly Bateman, COPA-DATA UK's marketing manager. "Since joining COPA-DATA it's become clear to me that technical and technology PR is evolving incredibly quickly. I don't think there is another agency around that embodies that change more than Stone Junction."
"Seven years ago, Stone Junction was just me working from a spare room in my house," explained Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. "Now, the company employs eleven people in a lovely XVII century building in Stafford town centre. The whole team is invested in the business and incredibly proud of how far we've come.
"Our mix of marketing, journalist and technical backgrounds makes us the perfect team for our technology and engineering-focussed clients. Last year, we won a PRide award for Best STEM Campaign, marking us as an industry leader, boosting team morale and demonstrating the value of PR to the wider business world. We hope to better this success at this year's CIPR awards."
The CIPR received over 1,000 entries from public relations teams, consultancies and individuals across the UK. 305 companies, 680 campaigns, 125 teams and 40 individuals entered the awards, which were judged by 68 public relations experts across the UK. The award ceremony will take place on September 30, 2016 at The University of Birmingham.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
