Rock down to electrical award avenue
agency and clients celebrate Electrical Industry Awards
agency Stone Junction has been shortlisted for the Marketing
of the Year category in the Electrical Industry Awards. The event,
organised by Electrical Times magazine, is the electrical trade’s
longest running award show celebrating excellence within the industry.
Stone Junction was shortlisted with its content PR campaign for
industrial automation parts supplier European Automation.
The Content PR in Practice campaign was an integral part of European Automation’s effort to integrate its fourteen international websites into a single unified brand. As specialists in international public relations, Stone Junction’s successful mix of traditional PR strategies and progressive content marketing obtained media coverage across six continents for European Automation. The company was also featured in UK national newspapers The Sunday Times and The Guardian. Over twelve months, Stone Junction generated 311 European Automation press clippings in trade, national and regional media.
Two of Stone Junction’s other clients have also been nominated in the Electrical Industry Awards. REO UK has been shortlisted for Innovative Industrial Product of the Year for its REOTRON SMP, a pioneering range of switch-mode power supplies for use in laser perforation applications. Leicester manufacturer Cressall Resistors has been shortlisted for the Electrical App of the Year award. Cresall’s free app is designed to help engineers solve Ohm’s Law faster. Since its release the app has been downloaded over 25,000 times.
“Our longstanding relationship with European Automation has allowed us to design a creative and effective PR campaign that reflects the company’s character and values,” explained Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction. “Content PR in practice mixes core PR tactics with creative content, such as the launch of a printed and online industry magazine AUTOMATED. Using alluring technical content, we raised our client’s UK and international media profile.”
The 2015 event will be held at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington on Thursday 29 October. A full list of finalists can be viewed on the Electrical Times website http://www.electricaltimes.co.uk/awards/finalists.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
