PR agency strengthens international offering
2019, Stafford-based technical
PR agency Stone Junction appointed two new account
executives, Francesca Avigo and Monia Dal Checco. The new hires will
support Stone Junction in delivering outstanding global PR campaigns,
bolster work with international clients and strengthen the company’s
already large multilingual team.
Stone Junction is a specialist technical PR agency, which supports British companies with their international PR campaigns, works with international clients and helps multi-national businesses to consolidate their PR. To achieve this, Stone Junction’s specialists fluently speak eight languages and the company has dedicated Europe, North America and Asia Pacific teams. Thanks to their communication and language skills, the new hires will help secure international coverage for Stone Junction’s clients.
Avigo graduated from Staffordshire University in 2018, where she obtained a first-class degree in Music Journalism and Broadcasting. During this time, she led the media relations team at the 2018 Staffordshire University Future Journalist competition.
Dr Dal Checco, who is fluent in English, Italian, French and German, holds a PhD in Philological, Linguistic and Literary Sciences from the University of Padua. She has been a visiting research scholar at American Studies Leipzig in Germany and the American Studies Department of the University of Rutgers in New Jersey. As well as this, her articles have appeared in several academic reviews.
“Stone Junction works with several impressive international clients, such as ABB,” explained Avigo. “The skills I developed during my degree in journalism will enable me to deliver outstanding content and help to secure high-quality coverage for Stone Junction’s clients in the UK and internationally.”
“Stone Junction has offered me the opportunity to transition from academia to the PR industry,” explained Dr Dal Checco. "My experience of living in Italy, the US, Germany and now the UK, combined with my language skills, gives me a solid foundation to build relationships with international clients and journalists.”
Stone Junction has grown at an average rate of 50 per cent per year since 2011 and its team has rapidly expanded to match. The company has taken a third office to accommodate future growth and is currently recruiting for employees with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM), languages, marketing, PR or journalism.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
