Not for profit marketing group gets new member

arrives in time for Action for Business Live Six ~
Stafford technology PR agency Stone Junction has joined the Staffordshire Marketing Academy (SMA) as the organisation’s public relations member. The Staffordshire Marketing Academy is a not for profit group of companies and highly skilled professionals who run successful businesses. The purpose of the group is to encourage Staffordshire businesses to access available marketing resources and help them grow.
The first SMA event that Stone Junction will be involved in organising is the sixth edition of Action for Business Live, which helps local companies generate fresh marketing ideas, new leads and improve communication with clients. The conference will take place on October 25, between 9am and 1pm, at the Best Western Moathouse in Stoke-on-Trent.

The tenth member of the SMA, Stone Junction will bring additional skills and knowledge to the group, adding public and media relations, content creation, blogging and speaker opportunities to the array of competences that the SMA already provides to local businesses.
Working together with other members of the SMA, Stone Junction will help encourage local companies in Staffordshire to improve their marketing efforts.
The first opportunity to tap into the SMA’s marketing reserve is the Action for Business Live 6 event. The keynote speaker is Andrew Garner, the chairman of an outstanding consultancy working with CEOs of international companies. He is also the author of Smart moves, a guide to strategic career development.
A live interview with Amanda Dawson, Trentham Estate’s marketing manager, is also scheduled for the day, followed by panel discussions about generating business leads, online marketing, social media presence and managing marketing research.
The event is an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to discuss marketing challenges and solutions with a team of dedicated experts.

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
