~ New hire increases international insight for Stafford PR agency ~
agency Stone Junction has grown its team to support an
base with the appointment of Kirsty McMahon as senior account
McMahon left Sheffield Hallam University in 2008 and headed for the Middle East, where she spent five years in Saudi Arabia and Dubai working in busy in-house marketing teams for companies operating in construction, education and logistics. After tiring of a life in the sun, she returned to the UK and took on the role of deputy editor with Security Media Publishing, producers of SecurityNewsDesk.com, SecurityMiddleEast.com and the SecurityNewsDesk newspaper.
During her time as deputy editor, McMahon developed a strong knowledge of the global security industry, including topics from the CCTV industry’s migration for analogue to IP systems through to new security legislation in the Middle East.
McMahon spends her free time combining her PR and marketing skills with her love of all things feline by supporting the PR efforts of The Cats Protection League’s Cannock branch.
“I’m fascinated by new technology from all walks of life,” explained Kirsty. “No matter what you’re doing today, whether you’re driving your car, buying groceries, or running the production line in a factory, you’re being exposed to a wealth of technology and I love learning about what makes the world around us tick.
“The range of clients I’ll be supporting at Stone Junction offers the ideal opportunity to feed my technology obsession while expanding my existing skills in content marketing and PR. I’m sure my international experience and knowledge of technology will stand me in good stead for this new challenge.”
“We’ve been investing in developing our international PR services,” explained Richard Stone, managing director of Stone Junction, “so Kirsty’s appointment is ideally timed to boost our international insight and strengthen the team.
“Kirsty’s knowledge of security technology and her experience in journalism will be a great addition to the team as we continue to ensure that our clients get the best possible service.”

Meet the team
Stone Junction is managed by Richard Stone, whose previous experience includes PR campaigns for Arup, AIT Plc, CIENA, Parker Hannifin, Schneider Electric, SIG, SKF, Roche and WorldCom. Well over a decade in technical and technology PR has taught him that he is only just starting out. He is a very slightly geeky father of two who lives in Stafford with his long suffering wife, aforementioned children, dog and cat.
Junction has been going from strength to strength, building up its
client base and championing the achievements of technical and
engineering firms, some of which are in Staffordshire."
